Topout Tech (“Topout,” “we,” “us”) builds construction software, including SubGrade and Closeout Compass. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We're based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Information we collect
Account information. When you sign in, our identity provider (Clerk) processes your name and email address. We use passwordless sign-in and do not store passwords.
Demo requests. If you request a demo, we collect the name, company, job title, email, and phone number you submit.
Product data. Information you and your team enter into our apps (for example, subcontractor evaluations and closeout records) so we can provide the service.
Usage & cookies. Basic technical data (such as log and device information) and cookies that are necessary for authentication and keeping you signed in.
How we use information
To provide and operate the apps; to respond to demo requests and communicate with you; to keep the service secure; to improve our products; and to meet legal obligations.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it with service providers who help us run Topout, under contract and only as needed: Clerk (authentication), Supabase (database), Vercel (hosting), and Resend (email delivery). We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and users.
Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the service and for legitimate business or legal purposes, after which we delete or anonymize it.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
Topout is a business product that is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new “last updated” date.
